After entering the race for Arizona’s 6th congressional district only 7 short months ago, Republican candidate Juan Ciscomani has been named to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Young Guns program. This program recognizes candidates across the country who have built serious and winning campaigns. Prior to today’s announcement, Ciscomani advanced to NRCC “On The Radar” status in October 2021.
“I am honored to be named a Young Gun by the NRCC, and grateful for the confidence and support by Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and NRCC Chair Representative Tom Emmer,” Ciscomani said. “Our campaign has been working hard, connecting with voters, listening to their concerns and building support to take back this seat and the U.S. House this fall. Today, Washington Democrats are destroying the American Dream. With record-high gas prices, inflation at a 40-year high, surging crime rates and high apprehension rate numbers at our southern border, it’s time to fire Nancy Pelosi as Speaker and retake the House. Laura and I are grateful for the support from all who have joined Team Ciscomani.”
In Ciscomani’s first 151 days as a candidate, he raised over $900,000. In addition, he has received endorsements from Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, Whip Steve Scalise, Congressional Leadership Fund, Arizona State Representative Teresa Martinez, Mayor of Marana Ed Honea, Mayor of Casa Grande Craig McFarland, Mayor of Sahuarita Tom Murphy, Cochise County border rancher John Ladd and others.
Being named a Young Gun is the highest level of the NRCC Young Guns program. Young Gun candidates have met a series of rigorous goals and surpassed program benchmarks to establish a clear path to victory. Young Gun candidates represent the most competitive congressional seats in the 2022 election cycle.
