"On February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin launched an unprovoked large-scale Russian military invasion into Ukraine, attacking military and civilian targets, using weapons that are in violation of the Geneva Convention, and killing thousands of innocent civilians, resulting in Putin being labeled by most of the world community a pariah and a wartime criminal. Putin was emboldened by the election in the United States of a weak President, who, on his first day in office, reversed our energy independence policy, opened up our southern border, and later ordered the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, compromising our national security and projecting to the entire world weakness instead of strength.
