Thank you for all of your support last quarter! Excited for what this next quarter has in store!
As we enter the 3rd quarter of our candidacy, I want to take time to reflect, recap, and express gratitude for what we were able to accomplish last quarter. After a successful start to our campaign, we had two main goals: make the ballot and build local support. I am proud to say we accomplished both. Like anything worth fighting for, nothing came easy for us in our quest to achieve what we set out to do. Without the team we have, the volunteers in our corner, and the support system to pick us up along the way, we don't have the momentum we have right now. Thank you to anyone who has donated, volunteered, hosted an event, expressed perspective at the doors, or has been someone that's just been there to support in their own way - you mean more to us than you know! Building local support comes from showing up and doing the work. During the last quarter, we didn't miss a single Legislative District meeting within our Congressional District. We also participated in canvasses, knocked doors, and walked petitions for candidates running for State Legislature, City Council, and School Board. From our experience at the doors and on the phones speaking with constituents, we found that when it comes to issues the average voter doesn't care if something is Municipal, State, or Federal - they care about how it affects them daily. To do right by these constituents, we need to make sure we are electing the right people all the way down the ballot and pounding the pavement on behalf of others is a great way to help that movement. Local support also comes from doing things the right way. While we had some help from canvassers, our signatures came from knocking the doors and having real conversations with constituents. I personally knocked over 2,000 doors in the month of March alone. A large majority of the constituents I spoke to hadn't had someone come to their door in years and didn't know what district they were in. Once they found out who I was, and that David Schweikert was their current representative, they were quick to sign my petition and volunteer to help. We also had opportunities to speak all over the district.
Whether it was Fountain Hills, North Scottsdale, South Scottsdale, Cave Creek, or Phoenix - we were there. As people heard our message, our platform, and our strategy we were able to gain the momentum needed to enter this final full quarter before our primary with a gameplan to become the Democratic Nominee. This gameplan is going to be about getting the word out through an elite field operation. To do that, we need volunteers, events to get in front of people, and donations to finance our operation. We understand who we are. We are the campaign that will put in the work, genuinely listen, and effectively convey in a district that has a 2% Republican lean that the right thing to do can be economically sensible. With our hustle, platform, and your support we can do this. Let's make this quarter our best one yet! #UpAndAdam2022
