Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine tested positive for COVID-19 Friday after experiencing mild symptoms such as a runny nose, body aches and sore throat.
The 75-year-old Republican was diagnosed by his personal physician, according to a press release. First lady Fran DeWine, tested negative.
The governor also received a "monoclonal antibody treatment." This infusion "can block the virus that causes COVID-19 from entering cells in your body and limit the amount of the virus within your body," according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
DeWine is fully vaccinated and has received a booster shot.
This governor previously had a false positive for the COVID-19 virus in August 2020.
