Nebraska LB1024 -The North Omaha Recovery Act will be debated today at 1pm. I support Senator Wayne in this effort. Investing in growing the economic stability and self-reliance of our communities should be a #1 priority with these funds. These funds, which have already been accepted by the state of Nebraska from the Federal American Recovery Act of 2021, must be used to address housing, homelessness, community and small business recovery, community well-being, and community assistance and programming in North Omaha. By investing these funds in North Omaha, we can reduce dependency on government funded resources to help individuals thrive in a community impacted greatly by the actions taken by our own government officials during the pandemic. The money has already been accepted, we might as well make a smart investment, by investing in economic independence and financial freedom for Nebraskans. #backthebeard
