Sonia Chang-Diaz for Governor: Act Driving Climate Policy Forward

Massachusetts

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Last week, the Senate passed An Act Driving Climate Policy Forward. The bill includes important provisions to move the ball forward on climate resilience, but it falls far short of the urgency needed to address the crisis facing us.

We still have a lot more work to do to invest in public transit and ramp up our use of renewable energy, but I'm glad Amendment 65, which I filed, was adopted into the final bill. It requires DPU and Mass Save to prioritize equity so that renters, low and moderate income folks, and immigrant communities don't get left behind as we transition to clean energy.
