Riddle me this. We all know this bill is of paramount importance for our Senior Citizens. We also know that this bill had full bipartisan support and flew through General File. Why risk the success of such an important bill by adding failed legislation to give the wealthy a tax break in Select File? Now, today, we are being forced to support unsustainable legislation that will kill our future budgets on the backs of our senior citizens. I’m not sure this has been made clear in the media. This is the third attempt for the extra tax bills. We can get the social security bill passed easily. We shouldn’t play political games with our seniors. We need to keep these issues separate. Keep an eye on my priority bill that is a solid start to lowering property taxes by letting Nebraskans vote in the next election on unfunded mandates. Bet these same people try to kill my bill. Common sense legislation that provides sustainable solutions seems of no interest to these folks. That’s what I see in my crystal ball. https://www.nebraskalegislature.gov/bills/view_bill.php...
