Arizona Corporation Commissioner Anna Tovar endorsed Secretary Hobbs for Governor.

“I am thrilled to support Secretary Hobbs in her campaign for governor,” said Arizona Corporation Commissioner Anna Tovar. “Katie Hobbs gets things done — as governor I know she will put partisanship aside and get to work for Arizona’s economy and our families.”

Commissioner Tovar is the first Latina to ever hold statewide office in Arizona. Before she was elected to the Arizona Corporation Commission, Anna served as Mayor of Tolleson, and was the first woman to hold that position. Anna has also served as a teacher, city council member, as well as in the state legislature as Minority Whip, Senate Minority Leader, and Latino Caucus Chair.

Anna has dedicated her career to ensuring all Arizonans have equal opportunity to a quality education and good paying jobs, and is looking forward to continuing this work with Katie Hobbs when she is elected governor.
