Secretary of State and candidate for governor Katie Hobbs released the following statement on former president Donald Trump’s visit to Florence, Arizona, to spew more lies about the 2020 election, and Kari Lake’s debut next to him:
“Donald Trump and Kari Lake can throw as many temper tantrums as they want, but that won’t change the fact that Trump was defeated in the most secure election in our state’s history. Not only has the Big Lie cost Arizonans millions in taxpayer dollars, it has been a dangerous and violent attempt to sow doubt in the integrity of our electoral system. While Arizona can be a model for conducting free and fair elections, it will not be a breeding ground for more lies. We simply cannot afford to have a leader that is Donald Trump’s puppet.”
