Today is I Love NU Day at the Nebraska Capitol! I am a proud supporter of the University of Nebraska. I'll be sharing more information about all the great things they're doing throughout the week. First, here are some interesting facts about the University:
1. The NU System returns $9 for every $1 invested by the state legislature.
2. The NU System generates a $5.88 billion total annual economic impact.
3. One of every seven working-age Nebraskans is educated by the NU System.
4. The NU System generated $164M in tax revenue to state and local governments in FY2020-2021.
5. The NU System graduates almost 11,000 students each year to fill Nebraska's workforce.
