The $4 million loan was simply moved between accounting years.

Ohio GOP Chairman Bob Paduchik, who is already facing his own accounting scandal around millions of dollars incorrectly reported in the Ohio Republican Party's finances, tried to call out Jim Renacci with fake news that he had "repaid" a $4 million loan he gave to his own campaign.

Unfortunately but not unsurprisingly for Bob, his grasp of basic campaign accounting was way off. As the latest Renacci campaign finance report filed 4/21/22 makes clear, the loan was NOT repaid. It was simply moved between accounting years.

Jim Renacci released the following statement:

"The Ohio Republican Party Chairman needs an accounting lesson. Four minus four plus four equals four. No wonder the ORP's books are a mess. The establishment knows we are going to win this election and are resorting to low fake news attacks in the final days to try to distract from all of DeWine's failures."
