“As a Navy SEAL who served in Afghanistan, it has been absolutely heartbreaking to watch the events of today. This administration pulled out hastily with no plan and has failed our troops, citizens, and allies.

“Now at least 12 brave service members have been killed.

“It didn’t have to be this way.

“As the Taliban takes over, President Biden continues to turn his back on Americans and allies who are facing a true life-or-death situation. This is absolutely unacceptable.

“This administration’s weak leadership is allowing the Taliban to have its way. Not only are we being bullied by terrorists, but we are giving up any and all progress we had fought so hard to achieve. It is time for this administration to put an end to this catastrophe that has already cost far too many American lives.

“We need real leadership for our country and our military.

“We need to take immediate and direct action against the Taliban in order to secure safe extraction points, and we must send the clear message that America will dictate how this process goes and any resistance will be met with harsh consequences.

“It must be made clear anything and everything in our military’s power will be done to evacuate EVERY American citizen, the Afghans who worked alongside us, and their families who are stranded behind enemy lines. And we must stay until the job is done.”
