I know many local families have given up and are packing their bags for much cheaper places. I don't blame them. I've asked myself numerous times if Hawaii is really worth it. Then when I look at my kids, talk to my neighbors, or walk out in nature; I'm hit with the realization that Hawaii and her people are worth fighting for.
