PATCHOGUE, NY - Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) issued the following statement honoring the service of New York State Senator Ken LaValle as he concludes over four decades of service in the New York State Senate:
“As a stalwart advocate for education reform, land preservation and improving healthcare in New York, Senator Ken LaValle will leave behind a rock solid legacy of delivering constant, positive results for Long Islanders. It was an honor to serve with Ken in the state legislature, intern in his legislative office as a college student, and continue to work with him during my time in Congress. Even as a child, I developed a strong admiration of Ken, because his mother, Kitty, was good friends with my grandmother, Shari, in south Florida. I know I echo the sentiments of so many when I say that so many have learned so much from him over his lifetime of service. His wisdom and unwavering commitment to his constituents will be greatly missed.”
