Just one week after Marco launched his campaign for Governor, more than 20 Arizona business leaders have announced their support for Marco’s vision for the Promise of Arizona. These leaders come from diverse sectors of the economy and agree that Marco’s deep understanding of economic development, international trade, and border security, paired with his ability to bring people together to solve problems, is exactly what Arizona needs
“It’s going to take leadership and bold vision to grow our economy and make sure everyone in Arizona has a job that pays the bills. I have known Marco for 17 years and he is that leader—from his experience at the Department of Commerce to creating jobs in the private sector, Marco has proven time and time again that he has the vision and the problem-solving skills we need in a Governor. I’m proud to support him.” – Mary Rose Wilcox, Chair, Maricopa County Special Health Care Distric
“I’m honored to have the support from business leaders in Arizona that know what it takes to fix our economy and create jobs. They know what I know—that to restore the Promise of Arizona, we need to make sure everyone has the opportunity to succeed. I’ll work every day as Governor to put our families first, create quality jobs, and get our economy back on track.” – Marco Lope
Marco was appointed head of the Arizona Department of Commerce under Governor Napolitano’s administration and was responsible for helping grow Arizona’s economy. Most recently, he’s spent almost a decade in the private sector, creating jobs and bringing opportunities to Arizona. He’s proud to be a founder of the nation’s first international interior customs processing air cargo hub in Mesa, which is on track to create 15,000 new jobs
