Breland Ridenour for Governor: Russia Has Officially Invaded Ukraine.

As you all know by now, Russia has officially invaded Ukraine.  An otherwise preventable situation has been allowed to unfold by the current administration in the White House, and is frustrating beyond belief.  Pray for Ukraine and for the peace and stability of the region and world at large.  God is in control.

None of this is to mention that our own leadership in the state hasn't offered Nebraskans any warnings or early recommendations.  I already know from some of the relationships I've formed with federal representatives that the intel was there.  Yet our state was as caught off guard as Ukrainians were early Thursday.

As your next governor, I will be a proactive leaders whose recommendations won't cause panic, yet raise Nerbaskans to be ahead of the curve in such scenarios.  A couple things to start:

Be sure to prepare yourselves and stock up on food and other supplies to weather any supply interruptions.  Also, try to prioritize your current financial obligations.  This could turn into a much bigger, long term situation that any of us would like to see.

May God bless the Ukrainians in their struggle for freedom from Putin's aggression.
