Congressman Krishnamoorthi joined Wolf Blitzer on CNN’s ‘Situation Room’ to discuss the developing situation on Ukraine’s border. Wolf asked the Congressman, as a key member of the House Intelligence Committee, for his thoughts after President Biden’s speech addressing the tense situation. The Congressman said, “I hope there is not an invasion but as you know [the Russians] have the capability of conducting it imminently….[Biden’s] message could…be interpreted as one of reaffirming any steps the Russians take to de-escalate the situation, if that is the case we are offering them both an olive branch… yet issuing a stern warning that an invasion of Ukraine would be a huge strategic blunder with huge costs.”
