U.S. Congressional Candidate Jeffrey Sossa Paquette Issues A Response To The Recent Comments by Senator Ted Cruz
Worcester, MA (October 22, 2021) –Today, congressional candidate Jeffrey Sossa Paquette issued a response to the recent comments by Senator Ted Cruz, adding immigration ports of entry to Massachusetts.
"I don’t think it’s a serious proposal but it raises a serious issue. Texas is feeling the nation’s failed immigration policy. And I understand where Senator Cruz is coming from. I dont think anyone wants what is happening to Texas to happen to them", said Jeff.
I understand the current situation in Texas is in dire need of attention but there are a lot of questions that we need answered first like the immigrants we have now and what happens to them. Who comes first? Housing, in reference to section 8 housing and its current condition ? Funding? Vetting? What responsibilities does Massachusetts need to be responsible for going forward?
What's equally outrageous is the fact that Congressman Jim McGovern, who Chairs the Tom Lantos Human Right Commission, hasn't come up with a plan to solve the immigration problem, just political talk.
We need Congress to act.
