Jeffrey Sossa: Why School Lunch Program Fails and How to Improve Them

Massachusetts

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Once again Congressman Jim McGovern is out of touch more importantly clearly doesn’t know how to run a business or a school program.

I’ve been in childcare business for twenty years and fifteen years part of the school lunch program. I receive enough money to feed a hundred children breakfast, lunch and two snacks a day with fresh fruit offered three times a day. I’ve NEVER not had enough money to feed the children in my care, more importantly we receive enough to pay staff and administration cost along with food costs to operate program with a small monthly profit.

Maybe our Congressman should tell the schools stop spending millions on diversity surveys and feed our children but stop telling people there isn’t enough money or food.

Typical democrat poor management
