#AlaskaFoodBank Do you feed yourself on $7 a day? That’s Alaska’s SNAP (Food Stamp) benefit for a member of a family of 3. It gets worse if the Governor ends Alaska’s Emergency Declaration. Then we lose our federal 15% pandemic bump and easier income eligibility rules for SNAP.
There’s been a 40% increase in Food Bank demand during the pandemic. A #donation is a good investment for our communities. Let’s look forward to the day the Food Bank isn’t a necessary institution in our state.
