Wasilla roads will be getting much needed repairs and improvements over the coming months.

#Wasilla #ParksHighway You’ve been asking and relief is on the way: the Parks Highway Preventive Maintenance Project (Seward Meridian to Lucas Road) is starting up.

The project will be an extensive repaving job and will take several months to complete. Work includes repaving from Seward Meridian to Lucas, rehabilitation of roadway structural section in select locations, guardrail, guardrail end treatments, automated traffic recorders, storm drains, signs, striping, and ADA and ARRC crossing improvements. While they will be working days for the next two weeks, the contractor will start working nights starting the week of June 7, in order to minimize traffic disruptions. However, due to the extensive work at the intersections, there will be some daytime closures in the upcoming months. Please check AlaskaNavigator.org for details and updates.
