Jason Bollinger announced his candidacy for the United States Senate representing Oklahoma in 2022. Bollinger returned to his hometown of Carter, Oklahoma, and announced his candidacy to a small group of family, friends, and supporters at a local cafe.  James Lankford currently holds the position. “Who we need in Washington is a true Oklahoman who cares about our state and the people he represents. I am thrilled to be back in my hometown—where I learned the values of doing good for your neighbors and community and lending a helping hand—to announce my candidacy today,” Bollinger said.

“As someone who grew up in rural Oklahoma, and has lived and worked in one of Oklahoma’s major cities, I am troubled by the growing divides in our country and state, and the lack of leaders who want to stop those divides from growing.  Like many Oklahomans, I know our representation in Washington is failing us.  If elected, my goal is to represent all Oklahomans in the United States Senate, as we work to fix the many issues we face,” Bollinger said.

Bollinger, a Democrat who was born and raised in Western Oklahoma, currently owns The Bollinger Firm and practices law in Downtown Oklahoma City.  He graduated from Merritt High School in Elk City, earned an Associates Degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Sayre, and then accounting and law degrees from the University of Oklahoma.

“I am an Oklahoman, who like you, has worked hard here my whole life.  I worked my way up from mowing lawns here in Western Oklahoma, to an attorney. I was raised on the ‘pick yourself up AND give your neighbor a hand’ spirit that makes Oklahoma special.  I know how Washington, D.C. works, and we need to work toward one objective:  fixing our country by serving the interests of and working for ALL Oklahomans,” Bollinger said.

Before practicing law in Oklahoma, Bollinger served our country in Washington, D.C. where he worked at the U.S. Department of State.  While there, he worked with the top levels of government, and represented the U.S. in a dispute against one of its great adversaries.

Bollinger said all Oklahomans deserve a Senator who will fight for them and the things that are important to our daily lives.  He said affordable health care, a government that works for the people, infrastructure and education improvements and security of our nation will be his top priorities.

“Currently, we have a Senator who has catered to out-of-state corporate donors and played partisan games.  This type of politician is exactly what is wrong with our country today.  We need a fresh generation of leaders who will be focused on fixing our country and the needs of our working families and people. I will be that kind of leader,” Bollinger said.
