Tobias Read for Governor: International Women's Day

Oregon

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

I’m so fortunate and grateful to be surrounded by strong, intelligent, compassionate and resilient women in my life.

My amazing wife Heidi and our brilliant daughter Annika are daily reminders of the power women possess and I regularly stand in awe of them.

We still have a long way to go as a society when it comes to creating equitable policies and opportunities for women --- especially women of color.

Women are central to human life and it’s time our policies and our societal standards reflect that.

Today I recommit myself on behalf of the women in my life to doing my part to make sure that every woman has political, economic, and social equality.

Happy #InternationalWomensDay!
