Our unpaid leave program is the shortest guaranteed leave in the developed world.
That’s why I wrote a letter with 16 other State Treasurers calling on Congress to pass a paid family medical leave program now.
Here in #Oregon, I’m proud that our state has joined a handful of others in creating a state-level leave program. Our working families deserve the security of guaranteed paid leave when they need it, wherever they live.
Many companies already offer this essential benefit, but there are many small businesses that can’t afford to offer paid leave themselves. That’s what makes a federal guarantee so important.
