Hazleton, PA - Former mayor and congressman Lou Barletta, Republican candidate for governor of Pennsylvania, announced his 2nd Amendment advisory board. The advisory board will assist in the crafting of Barletta's pro-2A legislative priorities in order to hit the ground running on day one upon being sworn in as governor.
The advisory board will be co-chaired by:

Fayette Co. Sheriff James Custer
Dave Weber - Former Pennsylvania NRA State Director (Lackawanna Co.)
Bob Foulkrod - "The Hunting Legend" & Sportsmen for Trump Advisory Board Member (Bradford Co.)
Michael Giaramita, Jr. - Gun Rights Attorney, Giaramita Law Offices P.C (Delaware Co.)
Jody Salerno - Owner, Elite Firearms & Training (Allegheny Co.)
Suk Smith- Owner, Patriot Arms, Inc. (Cumberland Co.)
Barletta issued the following statement:
“Pennsylvanians have constitutional rights under the 2nd Amendment and I will always defend their ability to protect themselves and their families, or use firearms for recreation. For far too long, extremist Democrats like Josh Shapiro have been wrong on the 2nd Amendment and have punished law-abiding citizens in the process. The fact of the matter is, the 2nd Amendment guarantees every American has the constitutional right to keep and bear Arms and it shall not be infringed.
"Under the false guise of public safety, Josh Shapiro has advocated for extreme gun control laws that have hurt law-abiding citizens and empowered lawless criminals who by definition do not obey the law. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly half of all new gun buyers in America have been women. I will never waver when it comes to defending Pennsylvanians' God-given right to protect themselves."
