On January 11, 2022, Lindsay Huse, Douglas County Health Director, declared a mask mandate impacting Douglas County. While the legality of such a mandate is to be questioned, it is also important to recognize that mask mandates are ineffectual and burdensome with businesses expected to enforce these mandates at their own expense. As Governor, I will ensure that personal choice is the top priority.
