Former Congressional House Chairman, Founding Tea Party Caucus Member Endorses Jake

Former Congressman, founding member of the House Tea Party Caucus, and President Trump’s U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands Pete Hoekstra has endorsed Jake Evans in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District race, saying Jake will work to revive the America First policies that strengthened our country at home and abroad.

“Congress desperately needs a new generation to pick up the reins and fight for the America First agenda that served our nation so well,” said Hoekstra. “As a former chair of the House Intelligence Committee and U.S. ambassador, I worry about the weakness that President Biden projects to the world. With a White House catering to the out-of-touch demands of the Far Left and our foreign enemies emboldened, we need strong-willed leaders like Jake who aren’t going to stand by as America gets pushed around. For our economy and our security, we must replace the Democratic Congress with bold conservatives like Jake and I encourage Georgia voters to send him to the House.”

Hoekstra (R-Mich) served for nearly two decades in the U.S. House, including as chairman of the Intelligence Committee. He was a founding member of the House Tea Party Caucus. A naturalized American who moved to the United States as a child, he returned to his native country, the Netherlands, as the U.S. ambassador during the Trump administration.

“Ambassador Hoekstra has represented our nation with distinction, at home and abroad,” Jake said. “I’m honored to have the support of someone who represented the America First agenda as a Trump ambassador in Europe and who has devoted so much of his life to serving our country.”
