Continuing to build unmatched local support, Jake Evans today was endorsed by immediate past Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker who said that Jake will be the most responsive to the needs of cities in the district.

“The Sixth District boasts some of the best communities in the state, and in Johns Creek, we’re proud of that and want to keep it that way,” Bodker said. “Jake agrees with voters in North Fulton that we don’t need the federal government coming in and changing our communities, schools, neighborhoods and quality of life by controlling how we grow. Johns Creek needs a Congressman who’ll fight for those principles and remain responsive to the needs of the people back home, and I believe Jake is the best candidate for the job.”

Elected in 2006 when the city was created, Bodker was the first Mayor of Johns Creek, a thriving city of 85,000 constituents. Bodker has served as chairman of the Georgia Municipal Association and the Metro Atlanta Mayors Association, as a member of the Atlanta Regional Commission Board of Directors and as a vice chair of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

“Mike Bodker is one of the longest serving and most respected mayors in metro Atlanta,” Jake said. “Johns Creek has prospered under his leadership and is a great place to live and raise a family. I’m running for Congress to work with leaders like former Mayor Bodker because I want to preserve and improve the high quality of life we enjoy here in Georgia’s Sixth District.”
