LITTLE ROCK, AR – Today, Sarah Huckabee Sanders filed her candidacy for governor of Arkansas. She was joined by her family and supporters as she submitted papers to place her on the ballot.

“I am running for governor because I love our state and care about our people,” Sanders said. “Arkansas is home, and I want our kids to grow to love our state just as much as we do. This means enacting bold, conservative reforms that unleash our full potential and standing up to the Radical Left in the fight for freedom. I am thankful for the overwhelming support we have received from thousands of supporters across the state – together, we will make Arkansas the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Sanders served as White House press secretary from 2017-2019, is a New York Times best selling author, and has been named to TIME Magazine’s “40 Under 40”.

Since announcing her campaign, she has shattered the record for most money ever raised by a candidate for governor of Arkansas, and been endorsed by President Trump, Governor Asa Hutchinson, Arkansas’ entire congressional delegation, and 101 Arkansas state legislators.

As governor, Sanders will work to take Arkansas to the top by focusing on education, workforce and economic development, public safety, and tourism and outdoor recreation.
