Today I joined Senator Jerry Moran in Wichita at the Law Enforcement Memorial to honor the life and sacrifice of Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputy Robert Kunze with the Congressional Badge of Bravery.
On Sept. 16, 2018, Deputy Kunze saved the lives of witnesses when he returned fire on a suspect after being fatally wounded. In his final moments, Deputy Kunze’s devotion to our community and his calling did not waver.
We continue to pray for Deputy Kunze’s family, and we’re so grateful for him and the many others who serve our community.
