I finished walking through a neighborhood in Council District 8 where I approached a home that was celebrating Boys’ Day by displaying the carp-shaped “Koinobori” streamers. Boys’ Day represents one of the five annual ceremonies that were traditionally held at the Japanese Imperial Court called Gosekku. Best wishes for a special Boys’ Day.
