I’m here at the Susannah Wesley Community Center in Kalihi with Joni Chun, the center’s Executive Director, to donate $1,000 to their Save Our Van Fundraiser. The monies raised will enable them to purchase the van that they use to pick up food from the Hawaii Foodbank each week to distribute to the community from the center’s Food Pantry, as well as to transport keiki from homeless shelters to their Youth Program. I would like to commend Susannah Wesley Community Center for the many years it has served the needs of our people.
