Joshua Revak for Congress: Senate Bill 143

Alaska

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

A bill of mine that was first brought to me by a constituent passed the House today and now goes to the Governor's desk for his signature! Senate Bill 143 fixes a decades-old disparity that has been hurting homeowners in older associations and allows associations to pursue modernizing their governing documents. This bill is the result of nearly a decade of hard work by the homeowners and associations most affected. I am honored to have been part of the effort.

A huge thank you to Rep. David Nelson for sponsoring and working hard on the House version of the bill and to the staff, lawyers, homeowners, and associations who have worked so closely with us on the bill throughout the process.

And thank you Rep. Ivy Spohnholz for speaking to it on the House Floor and to all my colleagues in the Legislature who saw the need and supported this effort.
