In response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the US reliance on foreign oil, I addressed the Senate floor today. Here we are, reliant in part on Russian oil, while they invade Ukraine in an unprovoked ground war.
I spent two years of my life in a ground war. I’ve been shot and I’ve been blown up. I lost a lot of friends. To my knowledge, every one of those bullets that shot at me, every weapon that shot them, including the mortar round that killed my friend and wounded me, was made in Russia.
