Mary Peltola for Congress: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Awareness Day

Alaska

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Awareness Day #MMIP is a painful reminder that there is much work to be done to ensure our indigenous community is protected and supported by a system that both values their safety and seeks justice for the harm they disproportionately face. As we honor and remember our indigenous neighbors and loved ones whose lives have been stolen by violence, their families who grieve them, and those who are at high risk, we must also stay vigilant and lead with action both nationally and here on home soil.
