I worked with Republicans to recognize April as the Month of the Military Child because the more than 1.6 million military kids and their families deserve to know that they have the support of their government and that we appreciate the sacrifices they make daily. My father was a WWII veteran and a Purple Heart recipient, so I know firsthand the challenges and pride that comes from being a part of a family in service. It’s also why I fight so hard to make sure our government lives up to its promises to our servicemembers and their families by making sure they can find housing, affordable health care, and everything in between.
