Yesterday, the Cowlitz County GOP announced the results of their two-week straw poll of voters in the Third Congressional District, and Joe Kent was the overwhelming winner with 87% of the vote.
Kent Campaign Manager Ozzie Gonzalez made the following statement:
We’re grateful to the Republican voters who gave us this overwhelming victory.
This straw poll was a measure of two things: the strength of the candidates and the strength of the campaigns.
Joe’s broad appeal as the conservative, America First candidate fighting against the America Last Establishment has captured the hopes and hearts of the voters in this district.
And our campaign’s ability to organize our supporters to participate in the straw poll — vastly surpassing that of all other candidates combined — proves that are the only campaign capable of delivering victory against Jaime Herrera Beutler in the August 2 primary.
