The importance of the right to bear arms was emphasized by our nation’s founders, but today, the Second Amendment faces attacks from even the most “moderate” Democrats. That’s why Senator John Boozman continues to prioritize the protection and expansion of this constitutional right.
On March 12, 2022, Boozman released his third ad of the 2022 election. The commercial features Sebastian County Sheriff Hobe Runion, an Arkansas Native and U.S. Navy Combat Veteran, who highlights the importance of preserving the right to bear arms for Arkansas families.
“If we take away the right of our citizens to protect themselves, we end up with a lot more victims,” Sheriff Runion said in the ad. “John Boozman has always stood up to the gun-grabbing liberals of Washington.”
Boozman’s efforts to protect law-abiding gun owners were also highlighted by the National Rifle Association, which provided him their official endorsement on March 9, 2022.
“On behalf of our five million members across the country, the [NRA] is proud to endorse your candidacy…Thank you for standing strong for freedom and defending NRA members and law-abiding gun owners in Arkansas and throughout the United States.”
