Huntington, IN - Gary Snyder, Democratic Candidate for Indiana's Third Congressional District, released the following statement regarding news of the Ft. Wayne VA Hospital be closed and Jim Banks' statement on the suggested closing, “I think it's too soon to say whether we're for it or against it,”

"Maybe Jim Banks uses the VA in Virginia, but the Ft. Wayne VA Hospital is a lifeline for veterans across Northeast Indiana. What is Jim Banks waiting for when he states, "“I think it's too soon to say whether we're for it or against it"? Is he waiting for Donald Trump, the Republican leader or his special interest owners to tell him if he is for it or against it," said Snyder. "As your next Congressman, I will spend every ounce of energy I have to make sure the VA Hospital in Ft. Wayne stays open for us veterans. Seeing Jim Banks' confusion on this should not come as a surprise to veterans with his history of voting against recent bipartisan veteran's legislation. Jim should be ashamed of himself and know better," added Snyder.
