“My Brothers and Sisters at IBEW 1220 who are on strike just informed me that management at WTTW will take healthcare away from the workers this Friday. This is an attempt to coerce the workers and silence their voices. It is also inhumane. WTTW has refused to return to the bargaining table. The last meeting was March 16.”
“I strongly urge WTTW management to treat their workers with respect and dignity and not resort to union-busting tactics. The time is now for WTTW to negotiate in good faith and reach a fair settlement,” said Ald. Pat Dowell, candidate for the Democratic nomination for Illinois’ 1st Congressional District.
