Ron Wyden: It's claimed many victims over the years

Oregon

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The War on Drugs has claimed millions of victims over the years, upended families, and hollowed out communities.

The people of Oregon and so many other states have spoken, and I agree with them: adult-use cannabis should be legalized and decriminalized. Sign our petition if you're with us.

It's time to end our country's outdated, racist drug laws and end the federal prohibition of cannabis. I am proud to be leading this charge in the Senate, and I won't stop fighting until we have empowered states and the American people to make their own decisions about cannabis once and for all.

Unfortunately, there are still too many who stand in our way, too many who embrace the War on Drugs, its one-size-fits-all approach, and everything that's destructive about it.

It defies common sense. We can do so much better. We must do so much better.

Please sign the petition and urge Congress to join me in taking action to update our nation's outdated and broken cannabis laws.
