Ron Wyden: Why I’m running for re-election

Oregon

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The official deadline to enter the 2022 U.S. Senate race has passed.

And it's official: I am running for re-election to continue representing Oregon in the United States Senate.

There's no doubt about it, these past few years have been difficult for Oregon's families and small businesses. But I am laser-focused on our shared values: reducing health care and housing costs, addressing the mental health crisis, securing a clean energy future, ensuring that billionaires pay their fair share in taxes, and so much more.

But we know that the Republican establishment is already pouring money into our state and running right-wing, extremist candidates against myself and other Democrats. Any one of those Republican candidates would most certainly be happy to stall progress by blocking critical legislation to improve the lives of millions of Americans and protect our planet.

Oregonians will have a clear choice on the ballot this year — keep moving our democracy forward or take two steps back.

Keep us moving forward. Join our movement to affirm our state's progressive values and keep Oregon blue. Donate now.

The GOP would love to pick up a Senate seat in Oregon. As you know, our Democratic majority hangs by a thread with a 50-50 split in the Senate. Republicans only need to flip one seat to take back the majority.

We won't let them take Oregon.

Donate now to help expand our majority in the Senate and keep us moving forward.
