Ridley Park, Pa. – Blue-collar businessman and Republican candidate for Pennsylvania Governor Dave White (R-Delaware) continued his strong performance in the PAGOP’s regional caucuses, winning the Southwest Caucus straw poll.

Dave White said: “I am humbled by the incredible outpouring of support our campaign has received from all corners of the Commonwealth.  We are building momentum based on the support of Pennsylvania workers and families.  Hard working Pennsylvania families deserve a fighter who will bring less talk and more action to Harrisburg on their behalf.  Career politicians like Josh Shapiro continue to fail Pennsylvania families, and my commitment is to fight each and every day to put Pennsylvania first as governor.”

Despite a field of more than a dozen candidates, Dave White again showed the strength of his candidacy by winning the Southwest Caucus straw poll with more than double the votes of his nearest competitor and by winning nearly half of the total votes cast.  This weekend’s results built upon the momentum White ignited with victories in the Central and NECRA Caucus straw polls earlier this month.  Thus far, White has won 3 of the first 5 caucus straw polls.

Beyond the growing grassroots momentum for his campaign, White’s campaign is well positioned financially to deliver his positive message to all Pennsylvania voters.  As of December 31st, White posted more than $3.35 million, with more than $2.5 million cash on hand.
