Atlanta, GA – Today, Governor Brian P. Kemp signed an executive order to lower the U.S. and Georgia flags to half staff on all state buildings and grounds on Monday, May 31, 2021, in honor of Memorial Day.

“Memorial Day is a time to honor the memories of the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation," said Governor Kemp. "Let this executive order be a reminder for all of us to pause and remember the fallen. I also ask all Georgians to join Marty, the girls, and I in praying for our veterans, the brave men and women who currently serve in our Armed Forces, and their families. May God bless those we have lost, those who have served, and those who continue to serve."
