“I am saddened by the death of Alaska Rep. Don Young. He was a true champion for Alaska and served dutifully for more than three-fourths of his state’s existence. The Dean of the House, a mentor to me and many others, the longest-serving Republican and a truly legendary figure in the chamber. I send my deepest condolences to his wife Anne, the Young family, and the good people of Alaska. The House will not be the same without him.”
