Congressman Krishnamoorthi appeared on CNN to further discuss the spending bill, debt ceiling, and provisions that he has authored. The Congressman said, “2.5 million women dropped out of the workforce because they can’t afford childcare. Right now is the time to deal with that, as well as for instance passing some of the provisions I’ve authored — investing in workforce training, vocational and skills based education to deal with those acute skilled labor shortages. If we do these things, we can help to tamp down inflationary pressures over the long term.”
