Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi was interviewed by WGN Radio about his push for a tax on e-cigarettes. “Unfortunately there’s a national youth vaping epidemic. One out of every five high schoolers are vaping, even five percent of middle schoolers are vaping. I believe that we need this, not only from a sense of parity since we already tax cigarettes, but from a sense of how do we discourage youth from taking up e-cigarettes and getting hooked on a lifetime of nicotine.”
