Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger (TN-01) introduced H.R. 6926, the No Taxpayer Dollars for Communist China COVID Tests Act. This bill prevents American tax dollars from being used to purchase Chinese manufactured COVID-19 tests.

In January 2022, Reuters reported that the United States signed a contract to purchase nearly $1.3 billion worth of COVID at-home tests from a company beholden to the Chinese Communist Party.

“President Biden’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been a failure by any measure. From ever-changing and conflicting public health guidelines, to unconstitutional and unscientific vaccine mandates, to the nearly $1.3 billion purchase of Chinese-made COVID tests, the administration’s floundering has cost Americans their health, freedom, and tax dollars,” said Congresswoman Harshbarger. “America deserves better. I am proud to introduce this bill to stop the Biden administration from appeasing dictators, emboldening our adversaries, and abandoning American taxpayers.”
