Edwardsville, IL. –  Today, Congressman John Shimkus, who served the people of Central and Southern Illinois for twenty-four years in the United States Congress, announced his endorsement of Jesse Reising for Congress in Illinois’ thirteenth congressional district.

“Jesse is not someone who just talks about problems. He has a track record of getting results, and we know that can be all too rare in Congress these days. At a time when Illinois families face unprecedented economic and societal challenges, Jesse will fight for our values in Washington D.C., and I am proud to support his campaign,” said Congressman Shimkus.

Our country is facing record inflation, a rising cost of living, skyrocketing crime rates, and the Biden Administration is projecting weakness to adversaries and allies on the international stage. Reising is running to bring us back to the first principles of limited government, free enterprise, and individual responsibility.

“I’m honored to have Congressman Shimkus’ support,” said Reising. “His years of service to the people of Central and Southern Illinois stand as a shining example for all elected officials, and he understands what it means to put the people and priorities of Illinoisans first. I look forward to continuing that service and fighting for the people of our district.”
