WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Peter Meijer (R-MI) today announced that on April 10, 2021, the Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) will expand access to the COVID-19 vaccine to all West Michigan veterans and their spouses/caregivers. This effort is made possible by the SAVE LIVES Act, which was cosponsored by Rep. Meijer and recently signed into law.

“I am proud to have cosponsored the SAVE LIVES Act that made this development possible, and I’m thrilled to see these efforts directly benefitting veterans in MI-03,” said Rep. Meijer. “This legislation plays a critical role in expediting vaccine distribution across our state and making sure our local heroes, their caregivers, and spouses have access to the COVID-19 vaccine.”

Those eligible to receive the vaccine can visit www.va.gov/health-care/covid-19-vaccine/ to register.

The bipartisan SAVE LIVES Act ensures that all veterans have access to a COVID-19 vaccine. The bill was signed into law on March 24, 2021.
